The Arena - 12 September

Well, I seriously wanted to keep updating my blog so that in months or years to come, I could still reminisce the beautiful memories of my past. Work has hold me back from doing so, or rather growing up being an ADULT is the obstruction. It send a shiver down when I've been reminded that I would be reaching my Mid-Twenties soon and yet have not achieve anything. (Thou I've not even celebrated my 23rd which is just 4 days away!) We all know that, time waits for nobody.

OH Well.. This week has been a tiring one as my one and only dearest biaojie is getting married! I still have a whole list of errand to run later to prep for her BIG day tomorrow. Looking at her wedding photos, it fills me with envy and I wondered when will mine be? Im really really happy for her.

Some Updates

I was looking at the calendar and I find the date so familiar. Then I realised, IT HAS BEEN EXACTLY A YEAR SINCE I LEFT THE NAVY! Omg. How I missed life back then. Colleagues were great, zero politics, work was easy, no meetings to attend, most importantly, I worked under a CSM (in the past) instead of a CO (presently)! Ok never mind those terms in the SAF.

Expectations are high, targets are there to meet, people I met are unpredictable, and the list goes on. I have grown to be wary of the people I work with. I am learning hard to reject people and not to be too kind to those who aint worth it. Thou occasionally I still fall back to my naïve and gullible self. Stress are piling up, undertaking more responsibilities. I have to hang on, I have to brave thru!

22 Aug - Was invited to Aetos Staff Day @ Singapore Flyer. PR here PR there. OMG. I just cant get use to that! Anyway, the ride on the flyer was so boring! Thank god I didnt spend that money during Birdy's birthday. Barely after TWO minutes on the ride, I got bored. What else can I do except cam-whoring?

September was a busy and 'funfiled' month! We had a 4 day conference at Suntec which I will never forget! Our clients are crazy!!! And not to mention they are Cheenas. Animals had a steamboat session at Paulie's house! I went KBOX with NPSCians. We were freaking busy for the Formula One First Night Race! Animals held a BBQ at Hyna's void deck for his birthday celebration!

Someday last week when I came back from work, I saw something hanging outside Boyfriend's wardrobe.

It was the pair of pants which I saw from Pull&Bear!! What a pleasant surprise! (Minus the fact that I didnt buy the pants on first sight due to some actions of his) Haha!

Boyfriend bought this for me with his first paycheck! Thanks to Faith for buying it from the States!

True friendship

They say its only during time of crisis then u'll get to know who are ur true friends. I can't agree with this more than anything else even thou im not the one lying in the hospital now.

Poor qiqi met with an accident on the first day of Lunar 7th month. I've never seen such a dumbass taxi and irresponsible driver who stopped his car in the middle of the lane. Should he have stop nearer to the curb all this would have been avoided.

After seeing qiqi, I felt so pain for him. And having heard what he has to say, I was so touched by his love for the gf. The way he said, "I was sitting there with the bike on me, and realised my leg is out of shaped. With the taxi on my left and Wen Jia who was totally lost on my right, all I could do is to keep shouting for her. In the past when accident occurred, the first thing we usually thot of is 'hows my bike?'. Now, is 'hows Wen Jia?'."

ya it was something like that lah. How sweet isn't it? Yeah and it has been slightly more than a week since he got admitted to the hospital. Finally he had his operation yesterday and up till today, all the animals still go and visit him whenever we can to accompany him. Thou sometimes we'll just sit there and read magazines or have our own lil talks, im sure our presence do make him feels better.

Visited him last night after his ops and then realised his condition is worse than anyone of us had imagined. He had a lil part of his hip bones removed and replaced by a metal plate or something. I don't know bout those medical terms lah. But I could see he was looking damn pale and Dr Tengku actually commented that he was very lucky already. Cos accident that involves the hip could have taken his whole life away! OMFG. That's how vulnerable life is.

I seriously thank god for that and also for the buncha true friends i have.

A Simple Saturday

Its been really long since I have some time like this, sitting in front of my laptop, in the middle of the night, not knowing what to do.

I was awakened by a phone call this morning, sent out an email, went back to sleep all the way till 3.30pm, finally woke up, met up with Birdy for dinner at Causeway before he goes to work, shopped around alone, then headed home. A simple yet relaxing Saturday.

Its almost three months since I worked with UnUsUal and I can say I've already gotten used to the working style of my boss and the pace of work here. As far as im concern, im pretty much enjoying myself at work despite having to work really late during those times which I consider them as the UP period. And thats the thing bout working in this field cos there are times when u can get really busy, but there are times when u have nothing to do at all.

Had done three concerts so far, and one exhibition, which is more of my area at work. That one exhibition nearly killed me. However, I guess my bosses were kinda satisfied with my performance and im glad my hard work had more or less been paid off after hearing what they have to say. Every other day I learn something new and im thankful that such an opportunity was given to me.

Enough said bout work. Back at home, alot of things changed too. Dad sold his Altis and got a second hand Jazz. Only if its for me. Had it been the new model, I would definitely have been more thrilled bout it. Probably in another three months time, we would have to shift once more. Its funny how we shifted from block 600+ to block 600+ and AGAIN to another block 600+! Cant wait for that and by then I will have a room to call my own again! *JOY*
